Het platenpromotieblad Platennieuws deed van 17 juni 1961 tot en met 26 december 1964 de samenstelling van de Nederlandse hitparade voor het Amerikaanse muziekblad Billboard. Zij namen het over van het platenpromotieblad Foon (Fonogram Top 20) en bracht de lijst terug naar 10 noteringen.
